Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Commercial Automatic Door Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Technician, you will play a key role in the maintenance and repair of commercial automatic door systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automatic door technology, be well versed in servicing all popular manufacturer brands, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Repair and Maintenance:
Lead a crew or apprentices in the repair or maintenance of various types of commercial automatic doors, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Conduct regular maintenance inspections to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in automatic door systems, including sensors, motors, controllers, and access control hardware devices.
Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies to minimize downtime for clients.
Upgrades and Retrofits:
Recommend and implement upgrades or retrofits to improve the performance and efficiency of existing automatic door systems.
Stay current with industry advancements and technology to provide innovative solutions.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Offer technical guidance and training to clients and other team members as needed.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of service calls, and maintenance activities.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and internal records.
Quality Control:
Ensure all repairs meet high-quality standards.
Conduct thorough testing and inspections before completing projects.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Automatic Door Technician.
Proficient knowledge of various automatic door systems, including sliding, swinging, and revolving doors.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with access control systems and integration with automatic doors.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and lead a team when necessary.
Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to industry standards.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. optional.
Additional certifications in automatic door technology such as AAADM or other related certifications are a plus.
